ZM Trucks, a subsidiary of ZO Motors, has announced its first North American manufacturing plant and new regional headquarters in Fontana, California.
The 210,000-square-foot facility, spanning 9.67 acres, is set to begin production in early 2025, focusing on zero-emission commercial vehicles.

This state-of-the-art plant will produce electric commercial trucks, terminal tractors, and airport ground service equipment, reinforcing ZM Trucks’ commitment to sustainable innovation. CEO Joost de Vries emphasized the move’s significance, saying, “Our Fontana facility reflects ZO Motors’ commitment to the U.S. market and sustainable innovation.”
The new plant is expected to create significant regional job opportunities while advancing ZM Trucks’ global reach in sustainable transportation. This follows the company’s Cambodia manufacturing facility, which supports the Asia-Pacific markets.
