Toyota has introduced the 2025 GR86 Hakone Special Edition, celebrating Japan’s iconic Hakone Turnpike.
Sporting a Ridge Green exterior, bronze wheels, a spoiler, and a Hakone badge, this model combines classic style with modern enhancements. Powered by a 2.4-liter, 228-horsepower engine, it offers both six-speed manual and automatic transmission options. The interior features Ultrasuede sport seats with tan leather trim.
Enhancements to handling dynamics include retuned shocks, electric power steering, and Brembo brakes with SACHS dampers. Limited to 860 units in the U.S., the Hakone Special Edition will be available in Fall 2024.
To ensure an engaging driving experience, the 2025 GR86 models also feature revised throttle mapping and engine torque control for better responsiveness. Inside, drivers can enjoy an 8-inch touchscreen multimedia system and a low-slung cockpit design.
