Hyundai Motor America announced a total of 69,202 vehicle sales for July 2024, marking a 4% increase compared to July 2023.
This month set sales records for several hybrid models, including the Elantra HEV, Santa Fe HEV, Tucson HEV, and Palisade, while total hybrid sales soared by 67%.
Retail sales of electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid vehicles represented 25% of the sales mix, with notable increases in Sonata (+65%) and Palisade (+41%).
Despite a challenging July affected by a software disruption, CEO Randy Parker stated that the company saw strong consumer demand fueled by its diverse product lineup.
Year-to-date total sales are up 2% at 468,725 units. July also highlighted Hyundai’s ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability, alongside its recent marketing efforts and the recognition of the Santa Fe as the most appealing midsize SUV in the J.D. Power 2024 APEAL Study.
