Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) has announced the 2026 IONIQ 9, a three-row all-electric SUV, as its second production vehicle.

Revealed at AutoMobility LA and simultaneously in Savannah, GA, the IONIQ 9 will be the first all-new model built at Hyundai’s state-of-the-art Metaplant in Bryan County, Georgia.

Equipped with a 12.3-inch panoramic touch display, first- and second-row Relaxation Seats, and advanced driver assistance systems, the SUV offers a luxurious, flexible cabin. With a range exceeding 300 miles and 800V ultra-fast charging capabilities, the IONIQ 9 charges from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes.

Production begins Q1 2025, with sales starting in Q2. The IONIQ 9 is expected to qualify for a $7,500 federal tax credit due to its U.S. assembly and battery sourcing. Learn more about the 2026 IONIQ 9
