DartSolar LLC has announced the development of a groundbreaking 2,000-watt expanding solar roof rack that can generate up to 10 kWh of power per day.

This innovation, which fits on any EV, hybrid, van, truck, or RV, can extend an electric vehicle’s range by 40 miles daily or power a small home.

The roof rack, crafted from lightweight aluminum and 3D-printed components, expands to full capacity while parked and contracts to 360 watts during driving, allowing EVs to charge on the go. With compatibility for various power units, it offers flexibility and can be mounted directly on Tesla roofs without a rack.

Priced at $1,950 or $80 per month with financing, DartSolar’s solution aims to decentralize power production. Upgrades to 3,000 watts are projected by 2027, leveraging advancements in tandem solar cell technology.
