Geotab has become the first telematics provider to achieve CARB Clean Truck Check (CTC) certification for its Emissions Diagnostics Report while holding an exemption from California’s anti-tampering regulations.
This allows fleets to efficiently comply with emissions requirements without downtime.
The CARB program affects over 1.2 million heavy-duty vehicles in California, requiring regular emissions reporting to avoid fines up to $10,000 per vehicle per day. Traditional methods like manual inspections can cost fleets up to $900 per vehicle due to downtime.
Geotab’s solution provides real-time emissions monitoring, effortless CARB-compliant reporting, and continuous connectivity, saving fleets time and money. Its certified telematics device supports J1939 and J1979 protocols while keeping the OBD port free for other uses.
“Geotab’s innovation empowers fleets with seamless compliance and optimized operations,” said Stephen White, Geotab AVP of Business Development.
Geotab’s Emissions Diagnostics is available now through MyGeotab.
