TXU Energy and Ford have launched the “Free EV Miles” program, providing Ford electric vehicle (EV) owners in Texas with free home charging during off-peak hours.
The initiative allows customers to charge their vehicles at no cost between 7 p.m. and 1 p.m. the next day, significantly reducing their energy bills. This program also supports grid reliability by encouraging energy consumption during less busy periods.
Ford EV owners, including those with the F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E, can benefit from bill credits, along with bonuses from both Ford and TXU Energy for enrolling.
The partnership aims to educate Texans about the benefits of driving electric while enhancing grid stability.
