Formula 1’s Williams Racing has become the first official team in the Prodigy Racing League (PRL), a new real-world motorsport series by Racing Prodigy.
This fall, Williams will field a team of four drivers, selected from elite sim racers aged 15 to 45, including two women.
The drivers will be chosen during the inaugural Prodigy Draft on July 6 at Williams’ London Fan Zone. The event will be live-streamed on Racing Prodigy’s YouTube channel. Selected drivers will receive paid contracts to compete in the PRL, turning their virtual racing experience into real-world careers.
Williams Racing will also offer extensive coaching and training through collaborations with PitFit Training, covering race strategies and driver performance.
“We’re excited to transform sim racers into real-world competitors,” said Marcus Prosser, Williams Racing’s Marketing Director. David Cook, CEO of Racing Prodigy, highlighted the partnership as a significant step in democratizing motorsports.
